Huawei will launched the new P-series smartphones on Monday (26 march) in Paris, France. The launched will see three new phones- Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro and Huawei P30 Lite. The Chinese telecommunications says that Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro are advanced camera smartphones to date come with the company’s SuperSpectrum sensor, an optical zoom lens, and a new time-of-flight (ToF) camera.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are being made available in select countries for now. The P30 will be priced at € 799 (around Rs 62,250). The P30 Pro is priced at € 999 (around Rs 77,900) for 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant of the Huawei P30 Pro comes at € 1099 (roughly Rs. 85,600) and € 1,249 (roughly Rs. 97,300) for the 8GB RAM/ 512GB storage option.
After the success of its camera-centric P20 Pro device that gained real plaudits last year, the company has launched the latest variants to the P series. P30 Pro phone comes with a dual primary camera of 40 megapixels with an f/3.4 (with 1/1.7-inch Huawei SuperSpectrum Sensor and f/1.6 (27mm) lens, 20-megapixel wide-angle secondary camera with an f/2.2 sensor. Moreover, the phone also comes with 8-megapixel f/3.4 sensor with a 5x optical zoom internal periscope camera with 50x digital zoom capability and a fourth time-of-flight (TOF) sensor. Unique to the P30 Pro, the Time-of-Flight (TOF) Camera aims to capture depth-of-field information to deliver precisely accurate image segmentation. The device also has a 4,400 mAh battery, in-built fingerprint scanner, a USB-C charging port with 40W supercharging.
On the other hand, the Huawei P30 is missing the ToF camera and instead has a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor along with an f/1.8 sensor. There is also a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with an f/2.2 (17mm) lens and an 8-megapixel sensor along with a telephoto lens (80mm) featuring an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor. Backed by a 3,650mAh battery in-built fingerprint scanner, a USB-C charging port with 40W supercharging.
As for the other specifications, the P30 flaunts a 6.1-inch display, whereas the P30 Pro flaunts a 6.47-inch display, both running at Full HD+ resolution of 2340x1080pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The P30 comes with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The P30 Pro comes in three variants – 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage. Furthermore, the Huawei P30 Pro also has wireless charging support and comes with a reverse wireless charging technology. Both phones also support Huawei’s 40W super charge technology. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be launched in Black, and four new gradient textures — Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Breathing Crystal, and Pearl White.
