The new Ducati Diavel 1260 has been launched in India on 9 August. The bike is on offer in two options, the Diavel 1260, priced at Rs 17.70 lakh for the standard variant, and the higher-specced Diavel 1260S priced at Rs 19.25 lakh ex-showroom. The new model is 5 kg heavier than the previous model. The new Ducati Diavel 1260 gets a number of changes, including a bigger and more technologically advanced Testastretta DVT 1262 engine which puts out 157 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 129 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Ducati Diavel 1260 engine gets Desmodromic Valve Timing, which is essentially variable valve timing which offers a wide range of torque across the rev range, offering pulling power at varying engine revs.
Furthermore, you also get three settings for the launch control and wheelie control. Other notable features on the new Ducati Diavel 1260 include all-LED lighting set up and a new coloured TFT instrument cluster. Furthermore, you also get an optional multimedia system that works in sync with the Ducati Link app. Some other features on the motorcycle include backlit switches, self-cancelling turn indicators, keyless ignition and also a rear-wheel lift mitigation system. The Diavel 1260 offers a concoction derived from three formats of the motorcycle, including the performance of a superbike, comfort of a cruiser along with the handling and agility of a sport naked.
The Diavel 1260 support smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which lets you access your ride data through the Ducati Link App and also share the data with your friends. The Diavel has done excellently for the brand, not just in India but globally as well, with Ducati having sold over 35,000 units worldwide.
